Vol. 127 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Derelict Sites.

asked the Minister for Local Government if the Wexford Corporation have any plans for the demolition of derelict sites in the Faythe and other streets in Wexford Town; and, if not, if he will request the corporation to formulate a scheme to clear away these unsightly ruins as soon as possible.

In June last my Department was informed that a site in Trinity Street was being surveyed in conjunction with a larger surrounding area which, it is understood, includes the Faythe with a view to the whole area being cleared and used for housing. The formulation of a scheme for the clearing of unsightly ruins is a matter for the corporation, without reference to my Department.
