Vol. 127 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Reception from Radio Éireann.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware of the very unsatisfactory reception from Radio Éireann in various parts of South Cork due to interference from other stations; and, if so, whether he intends to have the matter attended to at an early date.

It is known that there has been some interference by foreign stations with the reception of Radio Éireann in various parts of the country. Representations have been made to the authorities controlling the interfering stations and it is hoped that these approaches will have a satisfactory result. So far as Athlone is concerned, a considerable improvement in the interference position will probably have already been observed by listeners quite recently.
