asked the Minister for Lands (a) what area it is proposed to plant during the coming season for forestry purposes, (b) the acreage to be planted in each county, and (c) the species of tree that will be used.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Plantations.
It is proposed to plant 20,000 acres during the coming season. The acreage proposed to be planted in each county is given in a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Report.
The species of trees will be the same as those used in the planting programme in recent years, in approximately the same proportions.
