asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state in respect of the financial years 1955-56 and 1956-57 the highest and average milk yields per cow at (a) the Albert Agricultural College, Dublin, and (b) other centres under the control of his Department where such records are kept.

I propose, with permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to answer the question by way of a tabular statement to be circulated with the Official Report. The information being supplied relates to the calendar years 1955 and 1956, as the records have been compiled by reference to calendar years.
The Albert Agricultural College is not under the control of my Department but is a part of the Faculty of General Agriculture, University College, Dublin, and the figures relating to milk yields at the Albert Agricultural College have been supplied to my Department by the college authorities.
Following is the statement:—
