Vol. 164 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Oola (Limerick) Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether his attention has been directed to the urgent need for an adequate and satisfactory supply of water for the village and district of Oola (Barony of Coonagh), County Limerick, as has been provided for the neighbouring villages; and if he will now take the necessary steps to ensure that the district of Oola, comprising upwards of 400 people, including 160 children who attend the local school, will receive urgent attention in regard to this essential service.

I have received no proposals from Limerick County Council in regard to a water supply for Oola and no representations as to the necessity therefor. The matter is one for the county council in the first instance.
