Vol. 199 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drunken Driving: Alcohol Tests.

29.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Local Government when it is anticipated that the result of the investigation into the use of tests for alcohol in cases of alleged driving while drunk will be available.

I understand that the Commission appointed by me to investigate this and other related matters is at present preparing its report. I am not, however, in a position at this stage to say when the findings of the Commission will be made available.

Can the Minister give any idea at all how many weeks or months?

They are preparing the report. That is as much as I can say.

It should be some weeks?

It could be.
