Vol. 261 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Raheny (Dublin) Traffic.

128.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that people living in the Grange-Woodbine-Edenmore areas of Raheny, Dublin, are extremely concerned about the increasing volume of traffic on the Raheny Road-Tonlegee Road-Kilbarrack complex; and if, in view of the fact that a considerable number of children use these main thoroughfares, he will ensure that the roads in question are adequately signposted and served with pedestrian crossings.

The provision of traffic signs, including pedestrian crossings, is a matter for the road authority acting at the request, or with the consent, of the Garda Commissioner.

I am having the Deputy's representations brought to the notice of Dublin Corporation and of the Garda.
