asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will state in respect of the CAO, County Committee of Agriculture (a) the salaries paid in 1922, (b) the adjustments made since then, (c) the date of each adjustment and (d) the salary after adjustment up to the latest date for which figures are available.

(a) The post of chief agricultural officer commenced in 1933 at a salary of—£150×£15— £350 per annum for existing chief agricultural officers; £165×£10—£185×£12 10s.— £235×£15—£350 for future chief agricultural officers; plus two long service increments of £25 each after 5 years and 10 years respectively on the maximum.

(b) Details of adjustments made from 1936 to 1966 will be found in the following Statutory Regulations:—
