Vol. 268 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Leinster House Electrical Transformer.

47.

asked the Minister for Finance when an additional electrical transformer will be provided in Leinster House.

Mr. Kenny

There is no request before me for an additional electrical transformer in Leinster House and there is no need to provide one.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that when I was in charge of the Office of Public Works I made an inquiry about this and the installation of it was approved by the Committee on Procedure and Privileges? Will the Parliamentary Secretary tell the House if the Minister for Finance has sanctioned the installation of this extra transformer?

Mr. Kenny

Not for the transformer. The Deputy must be thinking of a generator. If the Deputy asks me about a generator the next day, I will answer him.

The Parliamentary Secretary is getting as bad as the men in front of him.

Precision is a great thing; one cannot go wrong.
