Vol. 308 No. 1

Written Answers. - Finglas (Dublin) Houses.

491.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has now received the full report from the National Building Agency on the findings of their technical experts and their detailed evaluation of the probable causes of the movement of the roof trusses and barges of the houses in the Finglas South housing development, Dublin; if he will make a statement on this matter; and if he will make the full report of the National Building Agency available to public representatives.

I am informed by the National Building Agency that they have not yet received the full report of the IIRS on the movement of some roof trusses in section 2 of the Finglas housing estate; but that the IIRS expect to have their detailed report completed within the next few weeks. It will be for the agency in the first instance, in consultation with Dublin Corporation, to consider making the report available to various interests. So far as I am concerned, I see no reason at this stage why the full report should not be made available to the appropriate elected public representatives.
