This grant will be paid on receipt of evidence of planning permission for the works undertaken. This was requested in July 1980, but has not been received in my Department to date.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a house improvement grant will be approved for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.
A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the works had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant has been so informed.
