The allocation of funds for local authority housing and SDA loans in 1983 will be made in the near future in the light of the overall financial provision made for these services and with due regard to the needs of all areas.
Advance allocations are not made to local authorities for disabled persons or essential repair grants but up to 50 per cent of a local authority's expenditure in each case is recouped by my Department subject to a maximum payment of £2,000 for each disabled person's grant and £300 for each essential repairs grant.
