Vol. 343 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Cork Parish Hall.

662.

asked the Minister for Labour the funds available to pay a grant in respect of Dromtariffe Parish Hall, in County Cork; if this was sanctioned some time back; who made the application; and the reason the applicant did not receive the grant.

On 30 November 1981 Dromtariffe Parish Hall Association applied for a capital grant under the community, youth, recreational and employment programme. This application was one of almost 700 received at that time. Due to the limitations on the funds available for the scheme the Dromtariffe project was not among those selected for assistance. The association were notified that their application was unsuccessful on 22 March 1982.

As all funds made available for the provision of recreational facilities for 1983 are fully committed, it is not possible to consider the project for capital grant aid at the present time.
