Vol. 393 No. 9

Written Answers. - School Transport Service.

100.

asked the Minister for Education the reason a person (details supplied) in County Clare is not able to take the school transport service to attend Ennis CBS national school, County Clare, since his parents have offered to pay the weekly ticket on the Bus Éireann vehicle which goes to this school.

The person in question is ineligible for school transport service to his nearest suitable school on age/distance grounds. Under the terms of my Department's school transport scheme he may not, therefore, be allowed to avail of the school transport service to another school, namely, Ennis CBS national school, County Clare.
