438 Mr. J. Fahey asked the Minister for Education the present position concerning the provisional grant allocation under her Department's capital grant scheme (details supplied) for the provision of recreational facilities; if correspondence has been received from Waterford Corporation; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
A grant of £20,000 was allocated to the project referred to by the Deputy under my Department's capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities.
Additional information was sought from the sponsors of the project and this has now been received from Waterford Corporation.
My Department will be writing shortly to the local sponsors advising them to proceed with their development.
