226 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education if the present diploma in marketing and administration which is conducted in the National College of Marketing and Design, Dublin 1, will receive advanced diploma i.e. B.Sc. Management status during this year; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
The College of Marketing and Design operate under the auspices of the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee who are the statutory authority responsible for course initiation and development. I understand that discussions are under way with the University of Dublin with a view to establishing a four year programme of studies leading to a degree in the marketing and administration area. It is not possible to say at this point when the process will be completed.
