Vol. 401 No. 2

Written Answers. - Limerick Garda Station Refurbishment.

Jim Kemmy

Question:

27 Mr. Kemmy asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline his proposals for the refurbishment and extension of Mary Street Garda station, Limerick; and his plans to phase out the prefabricated buildings at this station.

The existing site at Mary Street is somewhat restricted and the Office of Public Works are considering its suitability for a new station and also the possibility of procuring an alternative site. It is planned to proceed with the provision of a new station as soon as this matter is resolved and the prefabricated buildings will be phased out when the new station is available.
