Vol. 402 No. 9

Written Answers. - Donegal Sewerage Scheme.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

85 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment the progress, if any, which has been made on the provision of adequate sewerage facilities for the Donegal town area; the present stage of planning; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Contract documents for the Donegal main drainage scheme are with my Department at present. However, Donegal County Council are reviewing the level of waste water treatment to be provided and will be submitting revised proposals in this regard.

Consideration of the contract documents must await these revised proposals, as well as confirmation that all preliminary arrangements for the scheme have been completed.
