Vol. 402 No. 9

Written Answers. - Blanchardstown (Dublin) Hospital.

Seán Ryan

Question:

92 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Health the current waiting list for physiotherapy services at James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15; and if it is intended to provide extra resources to reduce the waiting and enable these services to continue.

There are currently 60 patients on the waiting list. The waiting time involved is up to four weeks. I understand, however, that certain physiotherapy treatments, e.g., fracture cases, have a maximum waiting period of one week and that urgent and emergency cases are dealt with immediately.
