Vol. 427 No. 8

Written Answers. - Nurses' Pay.

Enda Kenny

Question:

210 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Health his views on the introduction of increments for temporary and part-time nurses; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

In November and December 1992, following negotiations with staff representatives, sanctions issued from my Department allowing incremental credit to a maximum of the fifth point on the appropriate salary scales for nurses employed in a temporary or part-time capacity in the public health service. The health agencies are currently implementing the terms of these sanctions for the relevant staff.
