68 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment if approval will issue in respect of a grant allocation for the proposed Emlybeg South/Ardmore Water Scheme in County Mayo in view of the fact that approval has issued from Mayo County Council to supply the scheme from their water main.
Group scheme grants and contributions from group members are unlikely to suffice to finance this scheme, which in consequence may require a special contribution from the provision for public water and sanitary services schemes. Having regard to the overall demand on the water and sanitary services programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this scheme.
