Vol. 444 No. 6

Written Answers. - Price Fixing.

Richard Bruton

Question:

114 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the outcome of the study which he initiated into alleged collusion within the licensed trade in the setting of prices; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Director of Consumer Affairs has widened his investigation into alleged price collusion in the licensed trade because of other related practices within the trade which have come to his attention since his original investigation. I have asked the director to complete his inquiries and report his conclusions to me as a matter of urgency.
