EU aid of 6.1 mecu was received by the Exchequer in the period 1989-93 for the technical assistance measure within the Operational Programme on Peripherality.

In the period 1989 to 1993 funds received by the Department of Defence from the European Union were for fishery protection measures. The amount received in that period was £12,229,755.
