Vol. 444 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Avril Doyle

Question:

141 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Wexford has not been paid slaughter premium on 28 cattle out of 374 for which he applied; and when he will be paid.

The person named applied for deseasonalisation slaughter premium on 374 animals in 1993. To date he has been paid the premium on 346 animals. The slaughter premium has not been paid on the remaining 28 animals because the special beef premium has not been paid on those same animals. If and when those animals qualify for special beef premium, the slaughter premium can then be paid on them.
