Written Answers. - Aer Lingus Transatlantic Service.

Question:

162 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications when a separate company will be established to run the Aer Lingus Atlantic business at Shannon; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A new company, Aer Lingus Shannon plc, was set up on 11 April 1994. This is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aer Lingus Group plc and is responsible for the commercial management of the translantic service.
