Vol. 446 No. 3

Written Answers. - Wheelchair Supply.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

280 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that a person (details supplied) in County Dublin is in a position to supply top class wheelchairs for the disabled through the health boards with significant reduction in costs to the GMS; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2156/94]

The supply of wheelchairs to individuals is a matter for the health boards in accordance with the Health Act, 1970. I have made arrangements for the details supplied by the Deputy to be brought to the attention of the health boards.
