Vol. 462 No. 3

Written Answers. - Flying of National Flag.

Tony Gregory

Question:

141 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Defence whether it is the practice to fly the national flag on a regular daily basis at the 1916 memorial at Arbour Hill Prison, Dublin. [4594/96]

It is not the practice to fly the national flag on a daily basis at Arbour Hill. The flag is raised and lowered by the Defence Forces on ceremonial occasions such as the annual 1916 commemoration and at wreath laying ceremonies at the 1916 memorial.
