Written Answers. - Appointment of Litter Wardens.
Local authorities already have power to employ litter wardens without reference to my Department. I am concerned that not all local authorities employ litter wardens and, as part of the new anti-litter initiative Action Against Litter, I am strongly encouraging them to employ full-time litter wardens to assist in combating this persistent and visible environmental problem.
