Written Answers. - EU Peace Initiative Funding.

78 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Taoiseach the funding, if any, that will be made available by his Department under the EU peace initiative fund. [10447/96]

For the years 1996 and 1997 my Department will provide funding of £18.7 million under the EU peace initiative to ADM Ltd., of this approximately £4.7 million will come from national Exchequer funds.

Under the EU peace initiative, ADM and the Combat Poverty Agency exercise jointly the responsibility for administering 11 measures in the Border counties. Of these measures ADM Ltd. are responsible for the implementation of nine measures:1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.(c) 2, 4.2, 4.3, 4.6, 5.2 and 5.3.
