190 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health if agreement has been reached between his Department and the South-Eastern Health Board regarding the provision of orthopaedic services within the region, with particular reference to the Orthopaedic Hospital, Kilcreene, Kilkenny; the future plans, if any, he has for this hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 191 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the continuing deterioration of the Orthopaedic Hospital, Kilcreene, Kilkenny, and the serious concerns of the staff employed in the hospital; if he will have arrangements made to have the matter investigated with a view to putting the hospital in a proper state of repair; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I intend meeting with representatives of South-Eastern Health Board to discuss the provision of orthopaedic services and geriatric services in the region later this year.
