Vol. 469 No. 3

Written Answers. - Health Board Spending Cuts.

Ivor Callely

Question:

33 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health the anticipated spending cuts in each health board over the next six months; the likely impact, if any, these cuts will have on services; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17245/96]

The health boards have been provided with sufficient funding to maintain approved service levels throughout 1996. Boards will deliver services in 1996 in accordance with the service plans agreed with my Department. Where appropriate, boards are now implementing measures to ensure that services are maintained within the approved levels and within the financial determinations.
