Vol. 476 No. 6

Written Answers. - Waste Disposal.

James Leonard

Question:

129 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the proposals, if any, he has to deal with agricultural waste, mainly poultry litter and mushroom waste compost in the Cavan/Monaghan constituency, in view of the failure of the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications to include a proposed County Monaghan project under the recent alternative energy requirement competition. [7768/97]

The legal responsibility for the disposal of poultry litter and mushroom waste compost falls on the enterprises involved.
