Question:

87 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a special grant available to Kerry County Council to enable necessary and substantial improvement works to be carried out on the narrow and dangerous road from the Gap Cross at Fossa, Killarney, towards Dunloe Cross on the route to the Gap of Dunloe. [7771/97]

Kerry County Council have indicated that the road in question, local road 574, is included in their multi-annual road works programme for this year. They intend to spend £20,000 from their restoration improvement grant allocation on improvement works on the road.
