82 Mr. Callely asked the Taoiseach the total cost of mobile telephones and their use for the year ending 1996 for personnel working in his Department; and the estimated costs for 1997. [8545/97]

The total cost of mobile telephones to my Department in 1996 was £39,877. Mobile telephones have been issue to a number of staff for official use. The cost for 1997 is expected to be in the region of £40,000.
