Vol. 477 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Funding.

Seamus Brennan

Question:

113 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Health the proposals, if any, he has to provide funding for the upgrading of the casualty department at Temple Street Children's Hospital, Dublin 1; if his attention has been drawn to the additional cover which may be needed for this hospital when the relocation of the National Children's Hospital, Harcourt Street, to Tallaght, Dublin 24, has been completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9782/97]

, Limerick East): It has been agreed that the casualty-accident and emergency department in the children's hospital is in need of upgrading. Proposals have recently been received in my Department and these are being examined. I assure the Deputy that the Children's Hospital, Temple Street will be funded to enable it to carry out its functions.
