73 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made for extra hearings of the hepatitis C tribunal in view of the many cases waiting to be heard and the long delays feared by some women; and if he will give details of the current waiting lists, the expected delays to process and so on. Limerick East): I understand from the compensation tribunal that hearing dates have been allocated to the end of 1997. There are currently 505 cases on the waiting list, and I am currently considering a number of measures to reduce the waiting period.
