Question:

276 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Marine the amount of fines imposed for matters in relation to illegal fishing in each of the years from 1990 to date in 1997; if he will give a yearly breakdown of fines imposed and fines collected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11421/97]

The following tables show (1) the amount of fines imposed by the courts in relation to fishing offences committed in each of the years 1990 to 1997 and (2) the amount of fines collected in each of the years in question.
