113 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he will provide grant aid for the restoration and maintenance of Kenneigh Round Tower, Enniskeane, County Cork, under the national monuments and historical properties programme. [12512/97]

The carrying out of maintenance work on Kenneigh Round Tower will be considered for inclusion in the 1998 maintenance programme.

It is not the intention to restore the tower.
