Written Answers. - Fishing Rights.

Liam Aylward

Question:

210 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will establish the ownership status of the fishing rights in an area (details supplied) in County Tipperary. [11206/98]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the fishing rights referred to by the Deputy are reserved to the Land Commission by section 45 of the Land Act, 1923. The Deputy may wish to raise this matter with the Land Commission to establish the ownership of the fishing rights in question.
