Vol. 503 No. 6

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

164 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for her hip operation in view of the fact that she has been on the waiting list for over one and a half years; and the reason a reply has not issued from the health board. [10774/99]

The provision of medical services to eligible persons in County Mayo in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
