Vol. 522 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Appointments.

Frances Fitzgerald

Question:

73 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Taoiseach the number of appointments made to boards, semi-State and private, under the aegis of his Department in each of the years 1997 to 2000; if he will give the number and percentage of males and females appointed to each board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17908/00]

The information sought by the Deputy is outlined in the following schedule.

In every case, with the exception of NESF, the number and percentage of males and females shown on the schedule applies to all the years for which the information was sought. In the case of NESF, the percentage of males-females can vary from time to time as members can rotate within their parent organisation on an informal basis.
