81 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if the rate of early retirement scheme payments to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be increased in view of the fact that his social welfare contributory payments have altered and reduced. [21086/00]

My Department has written to the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs to confirm the amount being paid by that Department to the person named. On receipt of this confirmation, any necessary adjustment will be made to the pension he receives under the scheme of early retirement from farming.
