Vol. 526 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Seymour Crawford

Question:

74 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if interviews have been held to fill the post of Regional SSVI Navan, County Meath which was first advertised on 5 July 2000 by letter to all SVI-SRO's and again on 5 September 2000 with interviews to take place in October 2000; his views on whether it is unfair to leave this important post vacant from 21 June 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26208/00]

While the post was advertised for Navan, an application for transfer to the Navan post was received from a serving senior superintending veterinary inspector. That transfer will take place shortly and the competition for promotion to SSVI will be advertised in a different location.
