Vol. 527 No. 2

Written Answers. - Office of Public Works.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

101 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 115 of 29 June 2000, he will outline the precise nature of the offer made by the Chief State Solicitors Office on behalf of the Office of Public Works in this case; if this was deemed a realistic offer; if any further offer has or will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28151/00]

I am not in a position to state the precise nature of the offer made by the Chief State Solicitor as it is considered confidential between the Office of Public Works and the person in question. The offer is in excess of the strict legal entitlements and is a realistic offer. No reply has been received to the offer and no further offer is contemplated.

The property which was the subject of dispute between the Office of Public Works and the person in question will be offered for sale shortly.
