Vol. 534 No. 2

Written Answers. - Residency Status.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

132 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when residency status will be granted to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10328/01]

The persons concerned applied for permission to remain in the State as the parents of an Irish born child in February, 2001. Applications of this nature are dealt with in chronological order and on this basis it is likely to be several months before these applications are processed.
