Vol. 536 No. 4

Written Answers. - Food Safety.

John Bruton

Question:

93 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if there is systematic publication of findings of surveys of pesticide residues in food on sale here; and if these show an increased or a reduced presence of such residues over the past ten years. [14477/01]

The results of the national monitoring programme for pesticide residues in food, agreed between the Food Safety Authority of Ireland and my Department and carried out by my Department's pesticide control service, are published annually. The annual reports have been consistent over the time period specified.
