Vol. 539 No. 1

Written Answers. - Higher Education Grants.

Michael Creed

Question:

401 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department will consider introducing a monetary allowance in respect of graduate diploma in remedial education similar to that which applies to the higher diploma in education; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18595/01]

There are no plans to introduce such an allowance at present. Issues in relation to the payment of qualification allowances to teachers are appropriate for discussion at the Teachers' Conciliation Council.
