457 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding an extension to a school (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22792/01]

Architectural planning for the work at the school referred to by the Deputy is under way at present. It is not possible at this point to say when construction will commence. The school authorities will be informed of developments.

The property management section of the Office of Public Works has been asked to report on the possibility of acquiring a site for the school in question. When this report has been received and considered, the matter will be progressed further.
