Question:

326 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health and Children when a consultant rheumatologist will be provided for the Mid-Western Health Board region. [24027/01]

The Mid-Western Health Board has identified the need for an additional consultant rheumatologist in their development proposals for next year. The post will be considered in the context of 2002 developments having regard to the board's development priorities, the overall availability of funding and its service plan for 2002.
