Vol. 542 No. 2

Written Answers. - Remedial Works Scheme.

Austin Currie

Question:

366 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when approval will be given for the refurbishment and improvement of all council houses at Moorefield Estate, Clondalkin Dublin 22, under the remedial works scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23686/01]

Certain improvement works to South Dublin County Council's dwellings at Moorefield Estate, Clondalkin were designated for funding under my Department's remedial works scheme in December 1998. Planning and carrying out of the works is the responsibility of the local authority. My Department has sought clarification from the council on the costing of the council's proposals and a decision will be made on the tender documentation submitted when this information is provided.
